Grand Theft Auto 5 PC in 'final stages' of development

Rockstar Games has issued a quick update in regards to how Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC is shaping up.

Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC is so close to its January 27th release, I’m sure many of you can already taste the excessive violence and foul language. Since we’re nearly a month away from its release, Rockstar has issued an update on how the game is shaping up at this point.

The Rockstar Newswire held a Q&A session where they answered questions from their fans. One of the questions was a request for an update on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5. Rockstar responded saying, “we’re presently in the final stages of development on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V and hope to have confirmed official system requirements to share soon here at the Newswire, please stay tuned for that to be announced in the coming week.”

Hearing the game is in its final stages is always a good sign that GTA 5 will make its January 27th release date. It’s been a long wait for PC gamers, but trust me when I say GTA 5 will be worth it.

Thomas if you bring your shotty to the party, you'll have me as a wheelman for the getaway drive.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't suffer from the performance issues that GTA4 did!

Dear Rockstar, a PC port for Red Dead Redemption is something that has been on my christmas list. While I am grateful GTAV will be coming soon to the PC, I have been a very good boy this year and would appreciate if you took this request into consideration.

      Love,

I don't think that'll happen until they start re-releasing games from the last console generation. I think they'd first re-release GTA 4 before RDR.

Yeah at this point I think the best (but still very small) hope for a PC release will be in five years when they remake it in super HD or something.

They'd release GTA4 for phones and patch the pc version to match, remove songs and high res textures.

Okay, so I haven't finished the PS3 version yet. But I think I really really want this so I can play with you crazy people.

Guess I'm buying it again! Am I gonna need a supercomputer to play it on like GTA 4?

Hesitant because of GTAIV's PC release, 3 hour install process and a shitty port. Man that game burned me bad
