WWE 2K15 celebrates the past with WCW Pack

It's been over 13 years since WCW was folded into the modern-day WWE. Today, WWE 2K15 celebrates the defunct wrestling company with a pack of five character's from WCW's past.

Today's been a big day for DLC for many recent releases. So the latest DLC release for WWE 2K15 may have fallen under a few radars. 2K Sports released the latest round of DLC characters for the annual wrestling series, adding five characters from the defunct World Championship Wrestling.

The WCW Pack will feature some of WCW's best names. Diamond Dallas Page (before he became a life-saving yoga guru), Fit Finlay (before he ever hit a WWE ring with a little person named Hornswoggle), Lord Steven Regal (before he adopted the name 'William' for WWE), the late Bam Bam Bigelow, and 'The Total Package' Lex Luger (known to many old-school WWF fans as that guy who rode the giant bus and ultimately choked against Yokozuna). The full pack will be available for $7.99, but does not appear to be a part of the game's Season Pass.

Also, those that missed out on the pre-order incentives for Sting or Hulk Hogan can now pick them up a la carte. Both varieties of the characters are available, meaning you can grab classic Hulk Hogan and Hollywood Hulk Hogan, as well as classic Sting and modern 'Crow' Sting. Each character is available for $2.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
