'Borderlands Remastered Edition' leaked

Prepare to visit Pandora once again in the upcoming remastered edition of Borderlands.

A listing for “Borderlands Remastered Edition” was found on the Australian Classification Board, which may hint at the possibility of the Borderlands series coming to current-gen consoles.

The listing notes both Gearbox Software and 2K Australia as the authors of the title, while 2K is listed as the publisher. All that appears to be missing now is the official confirmation from 2K. Shacknews has contacted 2K and will update as more information becomes available.

After Borderlands 2 was released, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford stated definitively that Borderlands 3 was not in development. He did, however, say that the company has more plans for the universe, presumably referring to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, and this.

There’s no real information as to what Borderlands Remastered Edition could be, but I could only dream that it’s a complete pack that includes Borderlands, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands 2 to give us the complete story. Although, my realistic side tells me that I should expect the original Borderlands game, except with very pretty graphics.

I would definitely not pay to play Borderlands again with better graphics.

It would have to be some pretty re-worked mechanics for me to go back to it.

Eh, if it's all three games I'd maybe go for it. If it's just an HD version of Borderlands I'll pass.

If it were all three games at a standard price with ALL the DLC, yeah...that might be different.

Yea - I feel the same way. It needs to be everything that's ever been released within a single package.

What you said....and the graphics better make my eyeballs bleed. Oh and everything that needs improving let it be done. Then they can have my money. Oh, one last thing. I want to be able to transfer save games from my older consoles.

So like the Master Chief Collection with working multiplayer and no bugs? No pressure.

Huh, I really wonder what it will look like and if they upgrade the graphics?

A better PC version of the original would be nice, though it would suck that they'd make us pay for it. Which I wouldn't.

If they don't add splitscreen support on the PC, I don't give a shit about this. Also, I don't care what Randy holds responsible for the situation (ie: "you can't have two people signed into Steam at the same time").

Just make it work. I wouldn't even care if all progress was saved to one single account.
