DC Universe Online gets Legends PvE today

DC Universe Online's latest update is finally giving players a chance to play as their favorite heroes and villains in special Legends PvE missions.

DC Universe Online has been giving players the opportunity to play alongside their favorite heroes and villains of the DC Comics world for a couple of years. Unfortunately, players haven't been able to play as those characters unless they jumped into Legends PvP. That all changes today. DCUO is taking a major leap forward with the ability to play as the heavy hitters of the DC Universe themselves with today's new Legends PvE update.

Legends PvE mode allows players to take control of some of their unlocked Legends characters, like Batman and Joker, for select PvE scenarios. New Legends missions will be added as time goes on, but right now, the South Gotham Courthouse mission is now playable as a Legends PvE scenario. Sony Online Entertainment will look to craft future scenarios as playable Legends PvE missions, as well.

DCUO's Game Update 43 will also offer a brand new Legend, the mercenary Deathstroke. In addition to Slade Wilson, players will also get a new Undersea environment for League Halls. Plus, it's time to get into the spirit of the holidays with a new Season's Greedings! mission that will task players with recovering Christmas gifts that were stolen by Larfleeze, the Orange Lantern of avarice and greed.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
