Your mobile device will soon be a robot in disguise as DeNA and Hasbro are announcing Transformers: Battle Tactics is currently in development for iOS and Android.

Transformers: Battle Tactics will be a free-to-play turn-based tactical combat game that allows players to collect iconic characters from the series and assemble teams of Autobots and Decepticons to battle friends and other players around the world. A total of 75 classic Transformers characters, such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Starscream, will be included, each of which will have their own unique set of stats and abilities, which will shift as players transform them from robot to their alternative modes.

The title will include an “expansive” single-player campaign, story-driven in-game events and real-time player-vs.player matches. Leaderboards will also be included.

Transformers: Battle Tactics will roll out some time in 2015.
