      So it's just a port.

      EEEEh.

Protip, you can use your old PSX discs on ANY PS3 model. Just do that instead.

I am definitely in the "couldn't care less" camp regarding this. They didn't even bother remastering it like they did with FFX. I can still play it on my computer if I want to play it again.

I'm both amazed and disappointed that it seems like they will remake everything but FF3/6.

They did actually just rereleases 6 with updated artwork. But I honestly prefer the original.

You mean remake all but 7, 8, and 9 this does not count as a remake. 3, 4, and 6 have all seen remakes of some fashion, just not on living room consoles.

          There's a six remake?

The closest for 6 would either be the port to GBA or iOS, neither of which I would consider a remake so much as a port with slightly different graphics and less censoring.

If they want a true system seller the remake would be it. Hell, I'd buy one for it on day one.

Regardless of graphics this is a trip down memory lane that I will want to take again someday, I simply don't know if I could put in 10 plus hours of chocobo breeding and racing to get that golden chocobo again. There are parts of this game that were amazing, but there was also stuff, I could easily live without, how about instead of a remake they just give us a skip boring parts button?

I fucking LOVED FF7 when it came out. I think i played through it 5+ times. That being said, I can't imagine in this day and age playing through a game with random combat encounters. It sucked fucking ass when I tried to replay FF4 and FF6. It's part of why Chrono Trigger holds up so incredibly well is it doesn't have that shit.

Square Enix said they wouldn't truly remake the game until they thought they had made a better FF than FF7.
