GOG.com just wrapped up its Big Fall Sale, but it's already moved on to its Big Winter Sale and is giving away free copies of Age of Wonders to celebrate.

GOG.com recently wrapped up its massive fall sale, but the online retailer is wasting no time on its next major promotion. The GOG.com Big Winter Sale has begun and those that take part it in can currently pick up a free copy of the classic strategy game, Age of Wonders.

The GOG.com Big Winter Sale will offer a number of rotating flash sales, discounting dozens of DRM-free copies of games like Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition, Banished, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and The Witcher series, among many others. Flash sales will rotate every hour, but there are also a handful of deals that will last for 48 hours.

The sale will last through December 15 over at GOG.com, but don't expect the free Age of Wonders freebies to last that long. There are only about 160,000 keys left, as of the time of this writing.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga is only $4. Get it if you haven't already played it. I had a blast at $20, and took 80 hours to complete. Overall, it was very satisfying and engaging, the world didn't feel empty like it does in Skyrim or Fallout 3...plenty of enemies, and it doesn't feel like an endless grind either despite there being a leveling system. That said, the most powerful build (I've found anyways) is to duel wield. I started off with a 2 handed sword for the extra reach though, and respeced later. Plenty of special attacks and combos to keep combat fun and fluid too.
