What I think many of you are overlooking is the fact that this card will be merged with the technology from rampage which will sport a 200+ mhz clock, DDR, T&L, and scalability. So if you take a GP product, which is already beating out a GTS in AA benchmarks, and add up all that funky shiz, you've got a hell of a card. Not that the other video card makers are just sitting idly by....

They should just cancel Rampage and bring out their Gigapixel based chipset before it's too late. Otherwise other companies will catch up and come up with their own "optimized" memory bandwidth processors. Sometimes you just have to count your losses and move on.

The only way we are going to see that is if rendering is off-loaded to the graphics card

It's not the only way, but it sure is the fastest way.

I keep thinking it would be cool in the future if there were dedicated chips for all sorts of stuff, a dedicated AI chip for instance would be pretty cool.

BTW those Glaze3d shots were total BS. The only non pre-rendered shot was the Quake 3 FSAA, and we have that now.

Bitboys are and always will be horse shit vaporware merchants.
