Heists will hit Grand Theft Auto Online in first XBO/PS4 update

It's been on every Grand Theft Auto Online player's wish list and now it looks like heists are about to make their way to the game, over a year after it first launched.

It took a while... ok, perhaps it took a long while... but heists are finally making their way to Grand Theft Auto Online. There still isn't an exact date for when they'll arrive, but Rockstar states that they'll be included in the first post-launch update for all consoles following the release of GTA V's Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.

"We know you're all excited for more Updates to come and we've got some really exciting stuff in the works to continue adding to, expanding and evolving the world of Grand Theft Auto Online – including the highly anticipated launch of Online Heists which will be available for all four consoles as the first GTA Online Update to happen after the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One," states the Rockstar Newswire. "We'll have some details on that very soon as well."

This would seemingly indicate that heists will be included when the eventual PC version hits on January 27, but that remains to be seen. Grand Theft Auto V hits Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next week.
