Bloodborne will be missing its February 6 launch date and will now be releasing on March 24, Sony announced today.

A new PlayStation Blog post by Masaaki Yamagiwa, producer of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio, was published today announcing the delay. According to Yamagiwa-san, the team would like to use the additional development time to deliver “the best possible final experience.” Yamagiwa-san also notes the studio received valuable feedback and data from Bloodborne’s recent limited alpha test, which they plan on integrating this feedback into the game.

Considering how many titles have released with bugs this year, such as Dragon Age: Inquisition and Assassin’s Creed Unity, I’m definitely fine with Bloodborne getting delayed nearly two months. There are a ton of games releasing this holiday season, so I’m sure I could keep myself busy up until Bloodborne is released.

If you need Bloodborne sooner rather than later, head on over to our preview of the game, which we hope will feed your need for more Bloodborne.
