WildStar has been having its share of development troubles recently. Now it looks like Carbine Studios is ready to resume its update schedule with a fresh round of content set to hit next week, which will include the beginning of a new story event called Journey to Omnicore-1.

The new Journey to Omnicore-1 story is a single-player instance intended to kick off WildStar's multi-part Nexus Saga. Players will be tasked with fixing the Caretaker's neural core and accessing the secrets of the mysterious Nexus Project. The secrets lie within a treacherous computer world called Omnicore-1, which is guarded by Avatus, the malevolent half of the Caretaker's personality.

The new update will also add a new level 50 zone called the Delfie. The Delfie will feature new high-level content for those with maxed-out characters. They'll also be able to find new group instances like the Black Focus quest and the massive 20-person Siege of the Lightspire raid, which spans five parts.

The new WildStar update is set to release on Tuesday, November 11. For a tease of what's to come, check out the Journey to Omnicore-1 teaser below. The full details of the update are also available here.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
