Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s season pass was highlighted just prior to its launch, and today, we’re hearing details on the game’s first piece of downloadable content, Lord of the Hunt.

Lord of the Hunt has Sauron up to no good once again as he dispatches Beastmaster Warchiefs to rid Mordor of its monsters. It’s up to Talion, who is joined by Torvin the Dwarven Hunter, to use his powers of domination to help these new beasts against the Warchief.

The new piece of DLC will include additional story and lore to follow, new nemesis to engage, and new monsters to dominate, including the Wretched Graug which is able to spew toxins at Talion’s foes. A number of new missions and challenges will also be available, which includes new Beast Hunting challenges and collectibles A new Beastmaster skin will also be available for Talion.

Nope. Didn't see any of that mentioned in the press release.

I'm done with that game so hard. The DLC would have to be about a third of what it is to get me back into the game -- especially with all the huge games getting released in the next month.

I'm also putting SoM on the back burner. There's just too much awesome coming out that I need to play first. I'll definitely give it a go again some time in December.

I beat every mission in the game -- collectables, dagger/sword/bow, etc. The only thing keeping me from getting all the trophies are some weird things like "poison a chief at his own party", "kill a berserker who's on fire" and other random things that are tough to line up.

Same here. I don't have 100% achievements but I did get 100% game completion and that's all I wanted. Loved every minute of this game.

I got the game and season pass for $40 so I can't complain, but as much as I loved the game I don't think I could justify the cost of the DLC for what they're asking. Probably be a sweet deal on a complete edition next year.

Won't do me any good seeing as I went digital. :/

The DLC would have to be less than what it is to interest you?

Either more content (another map to justify the $25) or cheaper.

The beast hunting quest line was easily the best of all the story missions. More of that is a good thing.
