Nintendo showcasing 15 games at IndieCade 2014 and more

Nintendo will be showing up a total of 15 games during this year's IndieCade as well as hosting a panel, tournaments, and giveaways.

IndieCade will be taking place this weekend and Nintendo is going to be showing off 15 playable independent games on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS and will have the game’s developers available as well, which Nintendo is calling “Nindies.”

IndieCade attendees will be able to get their hands on the following games, many of them being playable for the first time anywhere:

Wii U

  • Affordable Space Adventures
  • The Fall
  • Costume Quest 2
  • Stealth Inc. 2
  • Swords & Soldiers II
  • Rundow
  • Sportsball
  • Chariot
  • Beatbuddy

Nintendo 3DS

  • Woah Dave!
  • Xeodrifter

Wii U and Nintendo 3DS

  • Shovel Knight
  • Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse

In addition to showing off these independent titles, but Nintendo will be hosting a Nindie developer panel at 10am on Saturday, October 11. The subject of the panel will be “Nintendo Do’s and Don’ts: A Developer-Focused Conversation” and will feature Dajana Dimovska of KnapNok Games, Sean Velasco of Yacht Club Games and John Warner of Over the Moon Games.

Nintendo will also be participating in IndieCade Night Games and will be holding “gigantic” multiplayer tournaments for both Sportsball and Runbow on Wii U. Prizes and giveaways will be given out during the event.
