Exploring a Destiny 'loot farm' on Venus

Loot farms are getting harder to come by in Destiny. Luckily, Rumpo has a place for you to go.

Bungie hasn't made it easy to pick up loot in Destiny. They've already scrapped one loot cave and made the other a little harder to reach.

Fortunately, our own Rumpo is here to help lead the way to riches by offering up a loot farming location. Watch as he heads to Venus, near the Ishtar Commons, to pick up near-endless amounts of Spirit Blooms.

Rumpo walks you through the process in the video below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

This area is better for stat/upgrade farming as opposed to loot. While I've been putzing around in this area frequently since week 1, I didn't know about the chests resetting.

You know the core game is shit when people are super excited to see a mindless loot/chest bug exploit.

Goddamn, I knew I shouldn't have bought the game when the fat dude at EB upsold me a DLC pack for a game that just came out..

F you Bungie you sell out f'cks.
F you Activisian, you EA wannabe cnts.

Or, you know, people are stupid and think that loot caves are the best way to get gear, when they aren't. It isn't Bungie's problem that people want to take the 'fastest' route to better gear.

wtf Spirit Blooms can be turned into reputation?

      Christ Bungie, streamline your bullshit.

They can be turned into Vanguard marks. I didn't think they could be turned into rep, though I may be mistaken.

Why would you want them to streamline it? Having the option to convert them to Marks gives you the option of either hanging onto them to upgrade items or exchanging them for something you can use to buy good gear.

I think it's 50 of spirit bloom, helium, etc, exchanged for 4 vanguard marks. There are far more efficient ways to get marks than turning in mats.

It is not worth it. Save those for armor/weapon upgrades.
