The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt promises the series' largest open world yet, offering new opportunities for exploration. Developer CD Projekt RED has released a new video to discuss the game's wide landscape and the many ways to get around it.

"Workd on [The Witcher 3] and filling it with content was a really exciting task," said senior level designer Peter Gelencser. "Because apart from key locations, we weren't really limited in placing anything in it. We took close consideration to all terrain advantages and placed battlefields, villages, castles, ruins to places where they belonged in the most natural and immersive way."

To learn more about the architecture, layout, and 24-hour cycle of the open world, as well as many of the challenges that went into building the game's dynamic events, check out the full video below. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt arrives on February 24.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
