A new Star Wars mobile game has been announced today that will be developed by DeNA in collaboration with Disney Interactive and Lucasfilm.

Star Wars: Galactic Defense will be a tower defense mobile game that will include resource management. Characters from various episodes of the Star Wars films will be included in Galactic Defense. Those who plan on playing the game can begin earning credits to unlock Darth Maul once the game is released.

Galactic Defense will be available across iOS devices and Android sometime later this year. Until then, Star Wars fans who enjoy a good tower-defense game on their mobile devices should head on over to the title's official website to sign-up to receive a notification when the game is released.

Jar Jar Runner would be more appropriate.

Or maybe run away from Jar Jar.. yeah..that would be more appropriate.

Please be a sane priced app.

      but...ugh..it'll be micro transactions...sigh.
As long as it can be grind'd to upgrade everything I guess I could live with it.

It really looks like they ape Kingdom Rush more than others.

Yeah, that is a bit odd. And their page as an odd sign-up feature where it contributes to points to help unlock features of the game. So... building in IAP I guess and allowing some to be free if they get enough marketing hype....

        sigh
