Titanfall deploys IMC Rising DLC on September 25

The final DLC pack for Titanfall will drop this Thursday on both Xbox One and PC.

Respawn has one more DLC pack lined up for Titanfall and it looks to have saved some of the best action for last. The latest trailer for the IMC Rising pack highlights the latest three maps, while also offering up a September 25 release date for both Xbox One and PC.

The first map, Backwater, proves that boozing it up during a mech war is perfectly acceptable, as it's set atop a bootlegging colony. This map features open fields for one-on-one combat, but also mixed elevation for pilots looking to either take the high ground or battle it out in the middle of a grain pile. Zone 18 takes place on a decommissioned base with two main base areas divided by a central supply path. The mirrored layout is designed for Last Titan Standing, while the underground passages still make for ideal pilot battles. Finally, there's Sand Trap, which combines many of the level design principles of Titanfall to create a well-rounded experience. It also features trenches for pilot battles and vast dunes for Titan skirmishes.

For more on these maps, be sure to check out the trailer below. The final battle begins tomorrow for Xbox One and PC, with the Xbox 360 version to come later. Just as with previous DLC packs, it will run for $9.99 and will be available as part of Titanfall's Season Pass.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I wonder how these sales will go or if TF's community is effectively dead. Do they even have over 100,000 players still active?

I still get the impression that the console versions are doing fine but PC is basically deader than dead.

That always happens with PC multiplatform titles. Like, BLUR and AC MP communities were dead a month after launch, while the Xbox one was doing just fine.

I'm waiting on my 970 to get here tomorrow (been videocard-less for about a week), but the last times I've played TF... its getting so hard to find a game in some modes. If at all. Really sucks.

A lot of people probably already paid for the DLC via the season pass.

I stopped that after Bioshock Infinite. Lesson learned there, publishers.

I got that one for $8 before any of it was out. Great deal.

As for active players on PC, I'd be surprised if the number of concurrent players is over 1k on any single cluster during most days. I still play some, the game is fun but also a ghost town in many modes, lots of waiting for games that aren't full.
