Destiny is a little over 12 hours away from being available to the public, but Bungie is getting everything prepared for a smooth transition when everyone gets their retail copies of the game. Instead of switching its servers on for tonight’s launch, Bungie has officially switched them on just a few moments ago. That means if you just so happen to get an early copy of Destiny, you’ll be able to jump into the game right away.

If you pre-ordered the digital version of Destiny on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, both Sony and Microsoft have confirmed pre-loading for the title has begun. Unfortunately, both Sony and Microsoft won’t be unlocking pre-loaded versions of Destiny until 3:01am ET tomorrow morning. This leaves many outside of the west coast having to wait longer than those who choose to attend midnight events to pick up their physical copies.
