Nintendo held a special Bayonetta 2 Nintendo Direct today, unveiling some new gameplay information about the title, among other surprises.

First off, the game will feature Nintendo themed costumes, including a Link costume, a Peach costume, and, best of all, a StarFox-inspired costume, complete with Fox ears. There's no word on if these will be unlocked right away, but it's a nice touch.

In addition, Platinum revealed more about the co-op mode called Tag Climax, which features Bayonetta as the first playable character, and two side characters, Jeanne and shop runner Rodin, available as the second character. This is an online playable mode, and it may be playable offline as well. The mode will consist of six stages, with plenty of enemies to thrash into oblivion. If you're a betting gamer, you can also put some Halos on the line to see if you can defeat enemies in a timely manner.

The game will sell for $59.99, and both the retail and digital versions will come to $59.99 (the online version will be a penny less), with the original Bayonetta included.

Bayonetta 2 will release on October 24th for Wii U. A new trailer has been included below.
