Survival certainly isn't going to be easy in Dying Light, the latest survival game from Techland. Perhaps living through the harrowing night will be a little easier with a partner. With that in mind, Shacknews ventured to Gamescom to find out some more about Dying Light's co-op play.

"If you're a single survivor, there's only so much that you can do," Techland's Maciej Binkowski told Shacknews. "You might be the best solo survivor in the world and you might be just fine. But then again, bringing in more people... that's why societies showed up. That's why we have teams and nations, because cooperating makes us able to do more."

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
