NVidia Saga Continues

Many of you guys probably remember that whole NVidia 'Strong Arm' bit a while ago. NVidia fessed up to the problems after denying them at first although it was the fault of non-employees. This time around Hypothermia isnt happy with NVidia again. Its pretty flaky that NVidia cant come up with 2 more boards (They promised 4) considering the thousands around the world but I cant say I really agree with Hypothermia's reaction on this one though. But it makes for entertaining weekend reading. :) Thanks Xhala As for the whole condescending towards webmasters bit... thats just like his opinion... man...

  • BTW, FWIW, I think it important to note DP never used the words "promise" or "gaurantee" or "sure thing" or "go ahead and start a contest for the cars." He said in ONE PRIVATE email that he would send 4 boards. He didn't say "try" or "maybe," either, but you get my point.

All the other emails or correspondence say 'no definite answer' or '2 boards.' So Hypo is picking only highest number out of many many other words. And I don't think DP EVER said 64meg.

Shit happens, and from reading the other emails it sounds like DP was still trying to hook him up with free shit which is more than Hypo-outofproportion deserves.

And shareholders don't give a shit about things like this. They care about revenue, profit, and the future of the company. That's why 3dfx is trading at a tenth the price Nvidia is. Nvidia has a future and 3dfx is quickly becoming another S3 or Tseng Labs.
