Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel season pass details explode from a loot chest

Surprise! Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is getting a season pass that bundles 4 add-on packs for $29.99.

Gearbox announced earlier this year they were working alongside 2K Austrailia for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel which is headed to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 14. Post-launch DLC played a vital role in both Borderlands and Borderlands 2's longevity, so it comes as no surprise to hear 2K announce a season pass will be available for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

The season pass for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will offer four add-on content packs that will be released following the titlte's launch on October 14. The add-on content packs will include new characters, challenges, missions and experiences with each retailing for $9.99 individually. As is the case with the majority of season pass offers, those who plan on picking all additional add-on packs can receive a 25% savings by spending $29.99 in one shot.

2K doesn't include any exact information on what we can expect from the add-on packs in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's season pass, but they note the pre-order bonus, Shock Drop Slaughter Pit, will not be included and will be sold individually at a later date.

next BL game that takes places between BL and BL2. Takes place on the moon of Pandora and I think you work for Handsome Jack.

I hope they don't follow the same model of TONS OF FUCKING DLC outside of the season pass.

Like...either that, or don't call it a season pass.

even the BL2 GOTY edition doesn't have all the DLC.

...because there was DLC created after the GOTY edition was put together?

not to mention there are a lot of very strict rules with both 1st Parties that define what can or cannot be in a "season pass".

it was a season pass to the four episodes of story content, and they were up front about that, not the cosmetic content or new characters.
