Stronghold Crusader 2 trailer shows off Sultana

After over 12 years of waiting, can Stronghold Crusader 2 make players fall in love with castle sims once more?

It’s been over 12 years since the original Stronghold Crusader introduced us to the idea of building, and managing a castle while holding off enemy forces during the crusades. After delaying release several times in order to assure the game is released in tip-top shape, the developers are finally confident enough to open the gates and let players in.

It will feature multiple characters to choose from, each one relying on different units or buildings, and having different ways of ruling their people. One such character, the Sultana, relies heavily on assassins. Her castle is small, equipped with infantry instead of machinery. Her attacks are unpredictable, and this makes her a dangerous enemy to face off against. She may attack with a full-on frontal assault, drawing your forces away from protecting your Lord, and send in her assassins to dispose of him before you even know what’s happening.

Stronghold Crusader 2 will release on PC September 23rd.

Fingers crossed. I loved stronghold games, here's hoping this isn't shit like that previous 3D sequel.

My fingers are crossed just as much. I don't even want to imagine how heartbroken I'll be if it sucks.
