When Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit against Rockstar Games for allegedly using her likeness in Grand Theft Auto 5, many gamers weren't sure of what to make of it. However, the publisher knew exactly what to do. The company has actually filed back its own lawsuit against the actress, citing that she simply filed the initial charges due to "publicity purposes."

The Associated Press reports that the studio believes the case to be pretty much useless, based on the terms of Lindsay's own promotion, and wants it to be dismissed, with the actress responsible for legal fees.

Lohan believed the game character Lacey Jonas was an "unequivocal" reference to her, and expects to be paid for the use of her image.

We'll see how this plays out over the next few months, but it shouldn't be enough to stop Rockstar from releasing Grand Theft Auto 5 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.

They've been awful quiet about GTAV on PS4/Xbone. Unless they make a huge boom at PAX, I don't see it happening in 2014. :/

The character looks way more like Kate Upton than her to me...

That's a different character, for some reason every early article ran that screenshot alongside the story when it's got nothing to do with the lawsuit.

The character actually she's suing over is that drugged out sex-crazed celebrity you tail in the papparzi side mission IIRC.
