See the face down the bottom?
see how it's not the doom face (remember the doom one) - or the mask for that matter?

why would I _NOT_ be surprised if iD didnt even keep the face / person consistent between the 3 games!

That's a 3DSmax rendering, and a horrible one at that. The floor is one of the default textures (oldmetal.jpg). I'm not sure what's worse; the fact that the texture looks absolutely terrible there or the fact that I actually recognized it by name.

I'm offended that someone who could capture the attention of the 3d gaming community by insinuating that they have a 'leaked screenshot' of the next DooM game, would create such trash. It's not convincing.

If you're going to make a forgery, at least spend more time and make is look convincing by adding the elements that the creator would include, in the way they would have include them. And remember, we're supposed to be moving forward in features and capability, not backwards.

Even the IHV in it's earliest incarnation could produce a screenshot that is so much better than this garbage.

The originality of this hack production makes me ill.

It's a pretty good fake... but it doesn't look like the Quake 3 engine, and that's what I'm assuming they'd be playing around with level design and object models with right about now.

Anyone noticed that the perspective of the ceiling is at the wrong angle compared to the rest of the surfaces? Also, the reflections look all wrong. Too bad, something like this could have been a great source of debate on the game, if done right...

Anyone actually done a level that uses false perspectives to fuck with players in a FPS yet?
