In honor of next week's Madden release, we take a look at some of the most overpowered athletes ever to grace sports games. Oddly enough, John Madden did not make the cut.
With Madden NFL 15 about to release on Tuesday, it's a good time for Shack Reels to take a peek into the history of video game athletes. And yes, just like in any game that centers around any sort of competition, there was a share of overpowered ones. You might even say they were a bit unfair.

John Elway was the most unfair character in Tecmo Bowl. He would throw 112 yard touchdown passes. 112 yards IN THE AIR. Also Eric Dickerson. Bo was up there in the top 5 though. Top 5 of just Tecmo Bowl I mean.
Michael Jordan in every NBA game that was licensed to have him. 'Roster Player'.
Magic Johnson in Lakers vs Celtics.
Kevin Durant is kinda dumb in NBA2K13. I didn't know he had "in the arena shooting range". -

#4 and #5 don't really make any sense. It's not unfair if the player really is/was that good. The only player comparable to Messi is Pele and you could bet Tiger against the field in every major and come out on top.

For me,while Bo was absolutely ridiculous,Christian Okoye,Kevin Mack,and Walter Peyton were pretty much just as unfair. I remember having people literally bounce off of Okoye without even holding him for a single second.
There was a EA Dream Team on Triple Play 98 games back in the day,and there was a guy named Mike "Swanny" Swanson that was so fast,he could bunt for a triple(and he was so short that the opposing pitcher could never throw a strike on him).Another guy who's name I forget would hit 600~700+ ft homers every time at bat.And they had a pitcher that was so tall you couldn't even see his chest,and he threw around 125~150 mph fastballs.
I forget with Madden game it way,but I think there was a glitch where Ed McCaffrey almost never dropped a long bomb.
