Madness would explore the deeper aspects of artificial reality.

It's kind of weird how virtual reality was a big thing back in the 90's, but then faded off out of nowhere, and now it's on the verge of a huge comeback between the $2 billion-invested Oculus Rift and Sony's Project Morpheus. One young lady wants to explore this aspect in a new film.

Actress Rachel Lara, who previously appeared in the SyFy series Opposite Worlds as well as a physical model for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, has launched a project called Madness: The Movie, which will tackle the lines between physical reality and artificial reality. The film will be directed by Marty Thomas if it makes its funding, and the trailer below explains just what Rachel is looking to explore.

The project is in need of funding help, as it's currently got five days to go on its Indiegogo program, and is short of its $70,000 goal. Those interested in the world of virtual reality, without subjecting themselves to repeat viewings of the Lawnmower Man movies, should give it a look.
