Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be getting a Season Pass for its DLC. Warner Bros detailed some of the content that will be included today, promising more in the future as well.

The Season Pass will include a "Guardians of the Flaming Eye" warband mission, two story missions called Lord of the Hunt and The Bright Lord, and early access to the Trials of War challenges. More content like runes and skins, as well as "future add-on content," is promised as well. WB didn't detail the price for the package, but it's a safe bet it will save a few bucks from buying the pieces individually.

This is in addition to the various retailer exclusive bonuses already announced. Shadow of Mordor will hit on September 30 on consoles, and October 2 on PC.

I also need to know longevity. Its cute to know names but if the side content is a quick fetch mission, then no thank you. Sorry but I've been burnt many times. Ill wait and see.

Same here. Very rarely do I ever buy games day one and instead will buy them a year after or so so i can get the GOTY edition or the complete bundle.

...Or don't worry about it, if its a couple of errands they added to the game. Im sure its not going to break the game in any way.

right, except in a game like this i'm not going to fire up the game again several months after I play and beat it just to play the dlcs.

Bleh. I could see having a season pass for a franchise or developer with a track record in making a certain type of game, but it seems super lame that this has one having neither. :P

Nope won't buy it, unless it's the same length as the game itself.

I am old and hate the phrase "season pass" with regard to games. And, in particular, any idea of a time-limited gaming opportunity outside of an MMO-type subscription.

season pass is a ridiculous term, given that for 99% of games that have one, there is only ever a single "season".

I hate season passes. Years later it still sounds like, "pay an extra $25 for all the stuff we could have included but are selling separate instead".
