This has been an epic week for Shackbattles, with the Chatty community coming together to play through a couple of their favorite games, both old and new. Our Giant Communist Robots got together once again for the weekly PlanetSide 2 Shackbattle and we have a short highlight to whet that appetite. And on Thursday, Chatty got together to go old school with Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Here's a compilation of some of the best Shacknews Twitch highlights for the week of August 16, 2014.

PlanetSide 2

There's still a bright future ahead of PlanetSide 2 if this weekend's SOE Live news is any indication. With that in mind, the Giant Communist Robots continue to have the continent of Auraxis on lock, as the clip below (taken from sergeon) will show them holding off a TR push.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

This week, the Shacknews Chatty community decided to forego the usual Battlefield 4 Shackbattle in favor of a more classic game. The game of choice was Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and hemtroll caught the whole thing on Twitch. Take a trip back to the past with the clip below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
