Battlefield: Hardline's single player mode detailed with a new video

12 minutes of gameplay await, and it's a tough life for this cop.

Along with the new multiplayer video that posted yesterday evening, Electronic Arts also showcased the single player mode that will be included with Battlefield: Hardline. It centers around protagonist Nick Mendoza, who has a lot of trouble from his past. In this first glimpse, you get to see just how much trouble he's in for, and what it takes for him to set it right.

As mentioned with multiplayer, Hardline features some new tactics that allow you arrest folks instead of simply pumping them full of lead, including a taser and the ability to bust folks with the new Freeze technique included in the game. It's completely your call, though.

Battlefield: Hardline will release next year for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Glad the bad guys are nice enough to stay down and quiet when they are taken down non lethally.

Reminds me of Far Cry 3. Which is a good thing.

Love to see some stealth and approach choice make it into BF, but I hope the enemy AI isn't as blind or stupid as this video makes them look. Also, I hope there is more of a penalty for being so foolish as to try and Rambo a whole camp of armed bad guys with nothing more than a sub machine gun and a Hawaiin shirt. Like the new play styles, don't like the dumbing down.
