Toy Soldiers returns with War Chest, coming to PS4, PC and Xbox One in 2015

Every teddy bear and pony will fight with honor.

For the past few years, Signal Studios has created quite a franchise for itself with the Toy Soldiers games, turning a typical backyard toyfest into a terrific game of strategy and action. Across two Xbox Live Arcade releases, we saw plenty of opportunities to take down the enemies, using all sorts of creative means to get the job done.

Now, it's time to return to battle, as Signal has just announced Toy Soldiers: War Chest, but this time around, it'll be open for more players to enjoy, as it will release on PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One and PC, published via Ubisoft. Joystiq broke the story this morning, and posted the debut trailer below.

The game features four factions that will battle against one another, the most notable being the adorably cute Starbright rainbow-colored armada of bears, cats and ponies. But don't let their looks fool you, as they're ready to kick butt and take names.

Once again, Kaiser Wilhelm, who made his presence felt in Cold War, will return to action, and players can switch to him at any time to do damage on the ground, while continuously laying down strategies for their army to follow.

More details and factions from the game will be revealed at a later time, but War Chest will be doing some damage when it launches in early 2015. Until then, don't let anyone give you any guff about playing with your toys.
