Key Battlefield 4 update due in September

Improvements to the core gameplay should make this the best one yet.

It's hard to believe how many updates Battlefield 4 has gone through just to get it to run on the level DICE was expecting so long go. But fear not, fans of the first-person shooter, for you're just about near the finish line with this latest update.

Due in September, the next update, which will be free of charge, will focus on core gameplay improvements, according to the development. These include vehicular handling so it isn't so wobbly, as well as soldier movement that "closely matches the one in Battlefield 3, but without compromising the visual fidelity." These will allow you to escape "undesirable firefights" much easier. The HUD will also go through some tinkering as well.

DICE has laid out all of its update plans over at the Battlefield Blog, so give it a look.

No word on an exact date for the update, but, hey, at least it's coming.

Let's face it from a selling point BF4 was a huge success. From a former BF3 player to a first time buyer it was a absolute worst. I think they sold 7 million copies across the board I don't know how many of that are for PC but the player base has diminished considerably. This is to get players to re-install the game. Will they? Wait and see.

BF4 is/was pretty damn fun despite all it's warts.. (Guess what, every BF game since 1942 has been a buggy mess. You learn to live with it..) Any game can wear out it's welcome.. I was pretty tired of BF3 after the 3rd or 4th map pack which was sad because some of those later maps were pretty good. I'm always willing to give it some time when they have a major new patch.

1942 was a buggy mess too? Remember how bad the netcode was? Go ride on a boat and walk around in the wake demo that was never patched.

There's a lot more going on with BF4, I'd say it's worth a good look. It might win you over.

My shit is uninstalled. I've always been a loyal Bf player since 1942 . I've played every game.
But that fact is they break more with each patch than they fix. Beta studders, its fixed then broken again, then with final beta patch its running great and so is the retail release, then it starts getting worse and worse. Studders are fixed for a while then feb13th patch comes out and studders are back again and been that way ever since .Every 4 sec, studder studder.
The last Dlc increased the studder to every 6 sec but its still there, test range runs smooth as silk. Bad part of the studders is its not graphical, because when it happens it ignores any key command i give, weapon switch, firing whatever, so it gets me killed a lot.Crappy ass netcode,o BTW, I tried Hardline, it ran nice and smooth.

Such a frustrating game. Flaws have plagued the series, I always stop playing because the bugs start to outweigh the fun. This is probably the worst since bf42.
