Persona 4 Arena Ultimax launching on September 30th

We're ready to brawl with Teddie once more.

It's not often you see a role-playing series enter fighting territory, but that's exactly what happened a couple of years ago when Persona 4 Arena hit store shelves. Even with its low character count, this fighter found plenty of appeal with its amazing visuals and sharp gameplay, right along the same lines as the BlazBlue series (which shouldn't be a surprise, since it was developed by the same team).

Now, the fighting will begin again next month, as Atlus has confirmed a release date for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the long-awaited follow-up to the cult hit. The game will release on September 30th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The game will feature a variety of fighters from the original game, along with plenty of new surprises, as well as earnable Tarot Cards, which they can turn around as advantages over the course of each fight.

In addition, two fighters will be available for download free of charge for one week after the game's release. Both Adachi and Marie will be available for download, whether you buy the digital version of the game or retail.

If you prefer, you can pre-order the game through Amazon and score yourself a collectible pack of physical Tarot cards, along with a Teddie inflatable bop bag. That's a nice little bonus, especially to devoted Persona 4 fans.

So, what say you? Are you ready to brawl with Teddie?
