Microsoft drops prices on four Xbox One releases

Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3 and others just got a little cheaper.

It looks like Microsoft is finally scaling back the prices of some of its Xbox One releases to make them appear more lucrative to gamers. After spending several months at a $59.99 premium price, four games in particular will drop to $49.99, starting today.

Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5 and Kinect Sports Rivals will reach the new price point, and, according to Microsoft, will remain there permanently.

This is on top of the weekly Deals With Gold that Microsoft offers to both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners, and a number of games have gone on sale, including Angry Birds: Star Wars ($25) and Call of Duty: Ghosts ($40.19 regular, $69.99 Digital Hardened Edition). As for Xbox 360 owners, they can get a number Capcom classics for up to 75 percent off, as well as Rock Band 3, which is on sale for the blockbuster price of $9.99.

As usual, the Deals With Gold only last about one week, so you've got until August 11th to clean up.

Ryse and DR3 should be $39.99 if not $29.99 at this point. They are almost a year old now.

He likely didn't play it. The buttons you see in the videos are finishing moves which you don't even have to do. They get you more rewards if you finish an enemy that way but if you just keep hitting any button you'll kill the enemy. The game is fine, nothing innovative but still fun in short bursts.

It's not just QTE, but the combat is boring and repetitive.

I payed it and enjoyed it. It has lots of eye candy and it kind of makes you feel like a bad ass if you don't focus on how easy what you're doing is just because it looks so cool. That wears off though and then it's pretty yawn.
