Previously, if you wanted to take part in the co-op shenanigans of Killzone: Shadow Fall Intercept, you had to own the full game to take part. However, that changes today, as Sony has announced the stand-alone release of the pack, which is available on PlayStation Network for $19.99.

In the game, you and three friends team up as Intelligence Squad Alpha, sent out to cover a series of co-op missions as you take down incoming Helghast troops. Along the way, you'll have to relay intercepted military transmissions back to headquarters through a series of Uplinks, scattered across each map.

Each character has a role in the game, choosing between Assault, Marksman, Medic and Tactician, each with special abilities that come in handy over the course of each match. Meanwhile, the Helghans invading your area have their own goals and Combat Rules in mind, which you'll need to adapt to in order to survive.

Intercept features four co-op maps to choose from, and more are already in the works, and will be offered free of charge down the road.
