Update: Game Informer has revealed its next cover story, confirming Assassin's Creed: Rogue in the process. It also states that you'll be playing as an Assassin-turned Templar named Shay Patrick Cormac, and sail in the North Atlantic. Shay's job is to hunt down assassins, and the game is set durin the Seven Years' War.

A leaked trailer may show our first look at this year's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Assassin's Creed game.

The trailer refers to it as Assassin's Creed: Rogue, a title that had previously been listed by a Swiss retailer. The trailer only shows a character model, presumably the hero, and a promise of some naval missions as bonus DLC. It also drops a release date of November 11.

It seems likely that this is the AC project formerly codenamed Comet, which had been mentioned in the leak that gave word of Assassin's Creed Unity early. Ubisoft recently teased that another reveal was on the way. The last time an Assassin's Creed game leaked, Ubisoft quickly acknowledged and confirmed it. Rogue looks legitimate, but we'll have to see if Ubisoft makes it official.
