Codemasters has been showing consistency with its F1 racing series, capturing the authenticity of the sport while improving little things year after year. We'll see what improvements come in the newly announced 2015 edition, which will officially hit store shelves on October 21.

For the time being, however, the game (which currently is untitled, but expected to be called F1 2015) will only be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Next year, though, the company expects to release the first entry in the series for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, just in time for the upcoming F1 season, which will kick off next March.

2015-based content will be available throughout the season, although Codemasters didn't quite say if it would be paid DLC or simply added on to the game.

As for improvements, Codemasters indicated that handling will be improved, and the introduction of a new driver evaluation system will help players fix their mistakes. Last but not least, a Very Easy mode will be added, in case the competition's a little too hard to take.

We'll keep you posted when more details (and the official name) come roaring to the gate.
