One thing's for sure...Kevin Spacey means business.

Sledgehammer Games is going all-out to break away from the usual mold with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. To show that, the company has released a new trailer today, providing more of the backstory for the single-player campaign.

In this futuristic tale, the world has fallen into chaos with a global terrorist attack strikes five nuclear reactors simultaneously. Crippled in strength, the nations turn to a privately funded military company called Atlas, which is run by a character portrayed by Kevin Spacey (who was introduced in a previous trailer).

Atlas does a good enough job of rebuilding the city, but as such, it also gains an immense amount of power, which Spacey's character isn't afraid to wield. How this will tie in with the game's events is still unknown, but it certainly sets the stage for the interesting battles that lie ahead.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare drops on November 4th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
