This year's San Diego Comic-Con kicked off with two of the biggest geek franchises in the world: LEGO and Batman. The latest trailer for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham released earlier today, revealing some new gameplay footage and some new playable characters.

The new trailer shows a few more story details, as the Justice League Watchtower is invaded by the LEGO Legion of Doom. The entire Justice League is called into action, including Batman and Robin. This paves the way for some footage of new heroes in action, each with their respective power set. Flash can use his super speed, Superman can use his heat vision, and shape-shifters like Martian Manhunter and Plastic Man can even transform into different objects.

More details are expected to be revealed at this weekend's LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The game will release this fall on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Vita, 3DS, and Wii U.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
