Entwined now available on PS3 and Vita with cross-buy

Developer Pixelopus previously said that Entwined would come to PS3 and Vita "in the very near future," which translates to "today."

Entwined dazzled anyone that viewed its initial reveal during Sony's E3 2014 press event. Audiences were then shocked to hear that Entwined would immediately be available on PlayStation 4. A little more than a month after that announcement, developer Pixelopus has followed that up with the promised PS3 and Vita versions of the atmospheric arcade game, which are both available today.

"We're very proud of both the PS3 and PS Vita entries and have put a lot of love and care into them," creative director Dominic Robilliard said on PlayStation.Blog. "They both contain all of the content found in the PS4 version, and because they are cross buy it means that if you already bought the PS4 version you will have immediate access to the other two versions for free! Not only that, but Entwined is also cross save, meaning that you can play while away from home on Vita and your progress will automatically update on your PS3/ PS4 versions of the game."

Entwined tells the stories of two souls in love, separated by fate. Players control both of the souls, represented by a bird and a fish, and must work to unite them over the course of nine lifetimes.

Entwined is available for $9.99 on the PlayStation Network.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
