Tetris Ultimate announced for 3DS

Classic puzzle game coming to a Nintendo platform after all

3

With the announcement of Tetris Ultimate coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS Vita and PC, Nintendo fans may have been bummed that Ubisoft wasn't bringing the classic puzzle game to a Nintendo platform. Turns out it is, but not to Wii U.

The publisher announced today that the game is coming to the 3DS this fall, with a new single-player Challenge mode that will be exclusive to the platform. In addition, the game also features the other previously announced modes, including Marathon, Endless, Ultra, Sprint, Battle and Battle Ultimate, with up to four players taking part. You'll also be able to share and create downloadable replays, so you can show off your elite Tetris skills. (If you have elite Tetris skills, of course.)
