Those hoping to jump into the Destiny beta will find themselves disappointed, because Bungie has taken it down for maintenance until Wednesday.

Of course, no one can say Bungie didn't offer ample warning. The maintenance period was originally announced back when Destiny beta details were first revealed. Outside of these two maintenance dates, Destiny will remain playable on PS4 and PS3 until July 27. As a reminder, log into the beta on July 26 at 5PM EDT for a chance to receive special rewards.

The Xbox One/Xbox 360 beta is also set to begin on July 23, so owners of Sony and Microsoft's consoles will have the opportunity to roam the game's world at the same time for the final week.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Are they also expanding the content at all, or is it staying with the same amount?

The point of the maintenance is to prepare for the sudden onslaught of Xbox users and prep their servers for the extra strain. Although, they are promising "special rewards" for July 26, so it looks like there will be something.

Awesome. Thanks for including that bit about the 26th, I'm going to make sure I'm on for that.

I'm guessing the multiplayer won't be cross platform?

I wish I could be sad about this, but I'm not. I'm utterly disappointed in what I've played so far.

      Bungies version of Warframe.

Not a bad game, but much like titanfall the hype is outpacing the reality.

Its not a bad game but its nothing special apart form the over all cost.

The game is kind of a let down its not bad but the problem is its kind of bland.

The classes all feel 100% the same the Super for the Warlock and Titan are more or less the same only the Hunters super stands out.

The gun balance is quite poor more or less the only two weapons used are the scout rifle and shotgun since there just flat out better than all other weapons.

The AI is well stupid most of the time happy to just stand in front of you and trade shots.

I hope they do more than just set up for Xbox user's as the game needs some thing other wise it might as well be renamed to 500m bland shooter version 1.

There is all so the stupid need for a PS+ to play some of the game on the PS4 but you do not need it on the PS3 and i guess both Xbox will need a gold account or what ever it is they use.
