Pinball FX 2 tilts Xbox One on July 31st

Zen Studios' pinball compilation will finally hit Microsoft's new console

Zen Studios' pinball endeavors over the past few years have been kept to PlayStation platforms Xbox 360. However, Xbox One users haven't had a pinball collection to call their own. That'll change at the end of the month, as the publisher has announced that it will bring Pinball FX 2 to Xbox One on July 31st.

The compilation will include an array of tables to choose from, including all of the Star Wars Pinball packs, all Marvel Pinball tables (including Deadpool) and Plants vs. Zombies, as well as some original efforts. Other tables will be introduced in the future, including the previously announced The Walking Dead table.

Players who download the game will be able to score one table, Sorcerer's Lair, for free. However, the rest they'll need to pay for, varying from $2.49 to $2.99 per table, or $9.99 for specific packs. Sadly, the game does not support cross-purchase, so even if you own the full collection on Xbox 360, you'll need to pay for them all over again.

(The trailer below is for the Xbox 360 version, but you get the idea.)

"With the release of Pinball FX 2 on Xbox One, we have closed the loop and can now offer our fans a complete virtual pinball experience, regardless of their system preference," said Mel Kirk, VP of Publishing at Zen Studios. "We've got a lot of great things planned for the newest generation of consoles when it comes to pinball, so stay tuned for some awesome new stuff from Zen Studios."
