Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are getting some Wang when Shadow Warrior hits the next-gen consoles in late September.

Lo Wang isn't done cutting up his enemies just yet. Devolver Digital and Majesco Entertainment have revealed that Shadow Warrior will indeed make its next-gen console debut this year, narrowing its release to late September.

Devolver Digital released the announcement on their website, noting that Shadow Warrior will be available both digitally and at retail. Shadow Warrior was developed by Flying Wild Hog, re-telling the story of a re-imagined Lo Wang, who must forge forward with a legendary sword and his array of firearms to banish demons back to their realm.

If it sticks to this release window, the console version would come roughly one year after Shadow Warrior first released on PC. With that in mind, Devolver Digital is aiming for a slightly-friendlier $39.99 price point for both versions.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
