Real Boxing is built on Unreal Engine and attempts to capture the real feel of the sweet science. It features a full career mode with 20 playable boxers, along with online multiplayer. This new PC version features Steam Leaderboard support, Steam Achievements, and new unlockable gear.

Real Boxing is currently 20% off on Steam and you can see the trailer below. Just keep in mind that the Vita version was seen as a mediocre effort and Steam users have already begun issuing middling reviews, so carefully consider whether you want to step into the ring with this contender.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Man I was just thinking how much I'd love a new boxing game. I wonder if this is any good?

From the trailer I can tell you it isn't. Every bit of footage is two guys standing still occasionally throwing a punch.

No, boxing it all_about footwork and combination bunching, neither if which are present in the trailer. Whatever was happening in there didn't look like boxing.
