Capcom is giving mobile players the opportunity to do some serious monster slaying today, as the company has released its long-awaited iOS port of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the App Store. It's a game with a steep price to pay, but the number of features you'll get out of it are rather immense. Take that, Angry Birds!

In Freedom Unite, you'll work alongside fellow hunters to bring down ferocious beasts and work your way through a series of quests. You'll be able to change the appearance and fighting style of your warrior over the course of the game, and team up alongside allies through the game's four-player co-op, which is supported by Wi-Fi. It features HD visuals that take advantage of the newest iPad Air display (sitting pretty at 2048 x 1536), a touch-screen control system and a new targeting system to keep a monster in view.

You can download Monster Hunter Freedom Unite from the App Store. Make sure you note the compatibility for the game, as it seemingly only works with newer models of the devices.
