Publisher Atlus is inching closer to releasing its upcoming fighter Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, so they're starting to think about DLC characters. The first one was revealed earlier today, with Tohru Adachi set to join the cast of fighters. He'll also be playable for free for the first week following the game's launch.

Adachi is described as the series' "egocentric police dick," revealing a seemingly good-natured, bumbling detective. Adachi will bring his Persona, Magatsu-Izanagi of the Jester arcana, into the arena, as well.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall. For more on how the game's coming along, check out this livestream video for full gameplay footage.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
