Totally understandable. This is a temporary fix while we work on getting it uploaded with an associated RSS feed. It shouldn't be too much longer, but since we had recorded this last week we didn't want to sit on it any longer.

Make sure to upload a perfectly-sized image for it that's not all skewed n' shit! Lots of Podcasts I've heard had janky ass images.

Off to a good start... one thing I don't understand. Ozzie landed at GameFly and therefore Shacknews. I thought GameFly was out of the picture? Or did briefcase man buy Ozzie too?

First thing I'll crit... sound quality; I listen to a lot of podcasts... but this is probably the worst of them all. I want to hear everyone talk, not chirp.

I'm half way through it. I like the format and the people involved. Glad that it relies so much on community feedback. Good job guys. Only thing is the name. Not a huge fan of "chattycast". I think it would be great if you came up with an original name to help differentiate it.

So you stop weekend confirmed to start a new podcast? Looks like shacknews is going the way of 1up.com and gamespy.

Weekend Confirmed was really NeoGafcast hosted by shacknews. Sounds like Weekend Confirmed was stopped because of the Gamefly deal that sold to our new overlords.

It was basically 1UP Yours II, and it was recorded in a pretty damn swank studio, which I imagine wasn't free or cheap to rent a session. I'm okay with a more down-to-earth cast via modern VoIP or Zoom H4n (thank you, Xav de Matos, for recommending the H4n; that thing is a tank).

We didn't stop Weekend Confirmed, it was Garnett's show. It wasn't included in the shacknews.com deal, so we immediately began working on a new podcast concept after the last episode of Weekend Confirmed was posted. I reiterate, the end of Weekend Confirmed was not our call and we are doing our best to provide the Chatty community with a new podcast. We will continue to seek criticism from everyone and I hope the show continues to evolve for the better. Garnett has gone on to do his own podcast with a new name (Garnett on Games) because he also didn't own the Weekend Confirmed podcast.

I disagree. I like a well organized structure to a podcast. When discussions devolve into rambling without someone keeping things on-topic, like with the Giantbombcast, my attention wonders.

I would really love if you take the daily updates and give us a podcast of just the audio. 5-8 mins of top-line gaming news, with maybe a little analysis thrown in. I already have a ton of podcast subscriptions, with more audio downloaded than time to listen to it each week.

Giving up another 1-hour podcast for gaming news would be a hard sell, but I'd be really happy to have a shorter bite each day that I could listen to while I make breakfast in the mornings or wash up after dinner. Something for the smaller intervals like that would be excellent..

Finished listening to it I dig it. Hopefully Ozzie is a regular. I think the format works well it felt very natural. In the long run I think looking into quality mics for the crew would help some.

FYI, not sure what you are using for mics but Blue makes a USB mic called the snowball that I love. I use it plus headphones to record all my training stuff in camtasia. Patrick from GM also uses one. They are fairly inexpensive.
