Batman: Arkham Knight release date possibly revealed

Batman: The Arkham Knight may have a new release date, if a Microsoft store listing is accurate.

Batman: Arkham Knight was among the spate of games delayed to next year. Warner Bros hasn't given us an revised official release date yet, but Microsoft may have slipped the news early.

According to a Microsoft store listing (via IGN), Arkham Knight will release on February 24, 2015. Retailers often put placeholder dates on games, but this one is a bit different. It's not at the beginning or end of a financial quarter, and on top of that, it falls on a Tuesday like most game releases.

The date isn't official, of course, so until Warner Bros itself confirms it, consider this firmly in "rumor" territory. Shacknews has contacted WB and will update as more information becomes available.

That's kind of an odd time to release a AAA title like that. Seems like they would just hold it until closer ot the holiday season. But, I guess there'll be a lot less competition for sales in Feb.

          That would include fiscal year.
