Civilization Revolution 2 announced for mobile

2K has announced that it is putting out a sequel to Civilization Revolution, the simplified take on the classic strategy sim. Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 will start with iOS devices next week on July 2, then later expand its territory to include the nation of Android.

2K has announced that it is putting out a sequel to Civilization Revolution, the simplified take on the classic strategy sim. Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 will start with iOS devices next week on July 2, then later expand its territory to include the nation of Android. The company boasts that it is being developed exclusively for mobile, a first for the series, so the game interface has been catered to the device. It will also be a "premium" app, which means it won't follow the free-to-play model. 2K similarly made XCOM: Enemy Unknown a paid app and steered clear of F2P pitfalls. Civ Rev 2 will feature 16 historical leaders recognizable from the series, like Abraham Lincoln and Ghandi, along with some new ones like Winston Churchill and John F. Kennedy.
